very strange trick

Post by Raivis »

ok first this does work. if your walking trough a parking lot looking for ur car but ur out of range (factory says 30ft i think) with any stock keyless entry u can extend the range by holding your remote up to ur chin. point it up into your chin right behind the jaw bone. it can extend it by atleast another 30 ft. i know it works with gm cars don't know about the rest. anyone know why that might work???

Depending on how watered down and salty your brain is..it uses your body as an amplifier.

Actually it depends on how many metal fillings you have in your mouth. With the right combination of tinfoil and twist ties you can pick up AM radio stations too.

I use this same trick with any car with an RKE, when working on cars sometimes its hard to tell which car is which so you need the keyfob to find them. Its just like those cell phone antenna's it amplifies the signal through your body. The human body actually conducts electrical signals quite well.

Try grabbing a radio antenna when the signal is weak, it should get a bit stronger. It literally uses the water and salt in your body to act as an extended antenna. Also, RF works in certain ways, so certain places and directions you use your remote will only help or hurt the signals.
