Body Trim

Post by vibedrvr04 »

I've got an idea and i need someone to photochop it if possible. I like the idea of a two tone vibe, but don't like the ugly gray plastic. I wonder if someone can transpose the panels that would be gray with ones from a silver monotone vibe. It would basically be two tone Neptune with Silver paneling. Also, the trim line that's halfway up the door would be silver too....what do you guys think? It's different to say the least. Lemme know if someone want's to attempt it.

I'd actually like to take mine off, I think either painted like yours or taken off entirely would look amazing! It's funny that we would notice a change like that ina heart beat but 90% of the people on the road wouldn't know...kinda like the roof rack crossbars.

I don't think you'd like the look of them completely removed. It is not a finished fender underneath. I saw them building Vibes at NUMMI.

A little while back, there was a guy who was thinking of trading his black cladding in for the unpainted. I wanted to trade him. I think the Lava with Black cladding would look good, if you tie the black in elsewhere on the car.

THis is a bit rougher, but it gets the idea acrossI used the VIbe pics from the color chooser on Pontiac.com, the Frosty doesn't look as white as a Forsty Vibe should

I'd love to have some silver cladding to go with my Neptune... It's gonna be pricey, but doable nonetheless... So scratch that idea for me.. lol!The Toyota Voltz that was sold in Japan for a good one model year or so appears to have true 2-tone treatment... The cladding is actually painted, in contrast to our "2-tone's" unfinished plastic. I like the look...http://www.auto.vl.ru/catalog/.../9213/

I can work on some other color combinations, but it might be sometime this weekend, which might be pretty busy, so if anybody else wants to do it don't wait for me. It will take me some time because I'd want to do a better job than I did on the white/lava one.

Around here, with all the University of Illinois fans, it'll probably only be a matter of time before I see a Neptune vibe with Fusion cladding, or vice versa.Or possibly around Univeristy of Florida. Same/similar colors.

lol! It's all good... Even if a few people get it done, you're still going to have a significant amount of originality. Do it, it's gonna rock! Especially neptune/silver, which is something I've always thought would look sweet... I'd love to have this mod, but can't afford it! So you'll beat me for sure.

Yeah, now all I have to do is find some silver cladding I want to get some that is from the factory...the paint has to be better on them than if I paint mine. If anyone has a Monotone Silver vibe and want to go to a factory style two tone....I'd be happy to take the cladding off your hands!
