cai and exhaust...

Post by remusrm »

what cai and exhaust would you recomend?i might want injen and magnaflow. if i put it on my 1.8 auto FWD auto, how much faster will it be? 1 sec faster? .5 seconds? How much HP gain? Not a racer here, but some power does not interfere with my beliefs...

I've just put an Injen CAI in (no exh yet) and I love it! Sounds great, added top end power, but I'm not so sure about the bottom end. Injen.com has some dyno testing for the matrix you can look at for reference.Glad to see pushing the speedo is not against your creedo.

The Cosmo Racing is cheaper than Injen, and do the same job. you won't pay more for the name. If I remember well, it's 130 $

Cosmo Racing CAI and Magnaflow exhaust. But again I repeat myself, there is no CAI available for the '05 yet.

You can custom fit an 05 Cosmo CAI to any base. I'm doing it now. I just need to route a different smog hose to the intake tube from the engine. No big deal really. And to make the cai fit, I just had to bend the one attachment tab on the intake tube. She fits nice, with the filter almost fully infront of the lower center air vent/dam.I did the Magnaflow yesterday, easy job. Sounds nice, not too extreme.
