I broke my wife's car. How do I order a replacement part?

Post by bumpus »

When I installed new speakers in the doors to my wife's Vibe, I managed to break the silver trim piece that surrounds the power window switches on the driver's door. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to locate the proper part number for this trim piece so that I can order a replacement.I tried searching on GM parts direct by model and part description, but didn't come up with anything that seemed very likely. Then I tried using the numbers on the back of the plastic peice (74232-01030-13 9L) but they didn't match the usual format for a GM part number and didn't turn up anything in the search on GM parts direct. If anyone has any advice about the correct name or number for this part or how to order it, I would appreciate it. I'd rather avoid asking the dealer to repair it for me since it's just friction fit and I don't really need help installing it.Thanks.

Thanks. I got the part from gmpartsdirect.com today and installed it real quick. Looks a lot better now.
