Some of us need to get $$$ in order so we will be able to pay for it when it is ready and would be nice to have an estimated date.

According to one of Havoks recent posts on MO.com he said they were starting production of the matrix version of the hood. Wonder if he has any news about our hood.

I mean come on, didn't someone just make an entire body kit and share his progress with pictures for everyone!?!?! It's not rocket science to make a CF hood. geesshhhhh!

Well, on March 1st Havok stated that the hood order is in and production is being started. My take on this is that he hasn't taken any pics of it yet is because it hasn't been started yet. Him saying that the guys took away his camera and wouldn't let him take pics is a delay tactic and actually sounds pretty stupid. We are not 5yrs. old here just tell us what is actually going on. Also, according to Havok's first post on this thread there are still three poeple who haven't paid. This better not be why it is being delayed. Show us the Hood!

Guess if any of this falls through for me (not by my choice that is) then I guess that'll put me 1 step closer to a SC! I really hope this stuff starts coming in though pretty soon. I do agree that his comments sound like a delay tactic to me and I also wonder about those missing deposits as well. What would happen if people start falling out and others never paid up? Seems like they never would have started building them if they didn't have the 10 originals to begin with. Somebody better come through with something pretty soon!

As we've established earlier, the remaining people have paid except for "VIBE2003" from what I have read. Everyone else has posted that they sent in their money, even if he did not change their status on page one they may still have paid. I'm not too concerned with the wait because I don't even have all teh money saved yet. I WANNA SEE PICS though too so what's goin on here?

Also if you really wanted to check to see whats going on call the shop he gave us the number for and ask for him or someone who knows and ask about our hoods. We can always do something instead of waiting for him to come to us. (Not that I volunteer to do this since I have waaaaay to much stuff to do right now.... taking 19 credits )

Paid my deposit about a month ago. I actually spoke to a person that work there who I got the info from to send the payment and they said that the hood is actually in the works when I talked to them (a month ago). I emailed Havok about a week ago, even though I got a phone call from JSP stating that they have recieve the payment but I wanted to confirm this with him. I was wondering when he was going to give us updates plus update the deposit paid on the 1st page of this thread. Hopefully he busy and lets just hope so. We may need to call to get updates.

Patience young grasshopper. The order didn't go in and prototyping wasn't even started until 24 Feb at the earliest! I would imagine it would take a little more than a month to produce a production grade product that would appease our discriminating tastes. That being said, pictures would help quell the nay-saying. It would at least show that there is some sort of progress, and the "updates" aren't BS in order to hype (get more interest) or stall for time because production hasn't even started. I don't think a picture of the mold or prototype would absolutely decimate a companies process.

Here it is guys. I talked to Havok @ JSP and they're are in the mold process. Hes hoping to have a piece ready to show soon. They're working on the mold for the underside of the oem hood so be patient. I rather for them to take their time and get us a quality part than to rush us some BS. Havok should update the paid list and hood info today.

Sounds good. Hopefully this will be the case, and it will give me a little more time to deal with the $$$ with the body kit coming and all. Thanks for the update. Pics when possible! Edit: We're still (since the beginning of this topic) been waiting for pics of what a Silver CF hood will look like. You made mention once of posting a pic but never did. This has also been asked on MO.com and received the same blatant disregard as it has on here. If you would post a pic of what your Silver Kevlar CF looks like it would be greatly appreciated.

We can wait until May rolls by. The body kit was delayed as well even though they had pics. If we don't get the hood, then atleast we have $500 saved up to use on what we please Either way we win. I have my heart set on the hood but I also want springs and some other things. I've been around some @$$-hole human beings and they may actually refuse to let him take pictures. I'm gonna stay with Havok until I have a real reason to suspect b/s. I still feel that we are in buisness. SO let's not lose faith. NEVER SURRENDER!!!!How's that for an inspirational speech? It sounds better when you're blasting a fast paced motivational song lol.

Just called them and was told that I am #5 on the list, that they are still working on the mold, and that it will be another 6-8 weeks before mine is done! She said being shipped by the end of May as previously expected will NOT happen. MOst likely mid-June for me. if you want to find out, go to the first post and call the number and give them the GB # and they will tell you where you stand. Beats waiting for Havock to reply! Guess he can't get pics if they haven't built anything which appears to be pretty close to the case!

The person I spoke with said they are going to be doing one hood per week. I'm #6 and she also said 8 weeks so that means the #1 person should have theirs ready in 2 weeks? Who's #1? Like Jason said, you'll have to call to see where you are on JSP's list.

I wonder how I'm #5 when, if you look at the thread, I was the first person to anty up? Maybe, like I said, it goes by who paid first or something. I was hesitant to put down the deposit as there weren't even 10 people when he began taking them and he said they had to have 10 before it would go and that deposits were non-refundable. Oh well, whatever.

Havok had said that the order made and shipped was based on the order of deposits*EDIT: I think based on what I remember Christian sent his deposit first and then me (or at least thats what's posted, the people who didn't post much like Lancer and vibe2003 might have paid really fast)

hey guys.. ill check the list for you and tell you how its running down. we had to redo the mold as it wasnt right.. i got to look at it.. and didnt like what i saw.. it wasnt right and i want to make sure that when these hoods are produced they are the best looking hoods and not just some crap.. so we are reworking the scoop portion so its what i wanted it to be.. Sorry for the delay in these hoods.. Also the carbon kevlar hoods might get bumped down the list and the regular cf might get shipped first.. sorry for this but there is a shortage in the kevlar so we are getting it from a few places so we can make your hoods..

Uhhh! I'm shocked! What more delays? I'm so suprised!!! NOT! Oh, well! Gives me more time to save additional money as well as allowing me to spend my current money on a GReddy e-Manage and Water Injection Kit. It' sucks about the Kevlar delay though.

It's unfortunate that after all the time the CF engineers did a crappy job on the hood, but i would rather have the hood look better and get more mileage out of the money than have them just send us crap hoods. I think part of the problem is that for people who want the supercharger here isn't enough available depth to make the scoop look really sweet (as it was) so hopefully they can figure out a way to make it look good with good clearance for the supercharger too.Btw havok are the edges going to be rolled?

Well Havok, as long as you are keeping JSP in line I trust your judgement on good quality Please make sure this is good quality because I am using all my money to buy this. I should be using it to pay for college so if it's not good quality and I paid this much on a single part for the car, my mom is going to slaughter me (she is partially paying for college).Anyways, try and get some pictures, even if it's not finished just so we can be held over for a little longer. Also if anyone else wants to jump ahead of me on the list once we get it on the thread let me know because I don't have all the money just yet. A couple more weeks and I'll be there.
