change catalytic??

Post by Thewhite »

I'm going to install my Magnaflow Cat-Back today. I thought the hole system will include a catalytic, but it didn't. do you think it worth it to change also the cat for better performance??

I would leave the cat. When you remove the cat,1. you will have a louder exhaust note.2. your car will be running more rich.3. you notice a loss of power. Inder

There are 2 catalytic converters on the Vibe. Magnaflow sells cats for about $90.00 each. They are universal so fitting them could be an issue. You would gain a bit of power but probably not worth the effort and expense. You would also be messing with the oxygen sensors which could cause problems.

nah, just tought about that... don't want to spend more money, or my gf will quick my (removed) off of the appartment. If I do that, I will do it if I switch my headers for a better one or a supercharge, so then I will change the cat.
