Heads Up Display (HUD)

Post by PBFlash »

This looks cool. Speedo/Tach/Shift Light displayed on the windshield. I sent them an email to see if it is available. If I had the $229 I would be ordering one. http://www.machv.com/headupdisspe.html

I think you'd be more likely to get in an accident while watching the tach to shift at the right time or looking down to see how fast you were going. It also has a built in programmable shift light which you can program to light up at whatever RPM you want. HUD's are already coming as standard or optional features on a few models already. I think in a few years they may be standard on most cars.

I have driven a late model Grand Prix with HUD. It was awesome and personally I feel that it would reduce the time you had to take your eyes off the road ahead looking at a traditional gauge cluster.Having the information shown on the windshield kept my eyes in the appropriate visual area ahead only requiring you to focus your eyes differently.
