Need some help with Need for Speed Underground

OK, I am attempting to play some NFSU2 online and I am having some difficulty. I am playing on a PC so I don't know if any Playstation 2 people can help or not.After I log onto the online mode in the game and get to the main menu, I log into the lobby area to get into a race. Where my problem occurs at is trying to accept the race. There is a screen that has the list of drivers in the race and everybody elses light is green except for mine and I end up getting kicked out of the race becasue the race will start before I can get my light to go green. I can not figure out what I have to do to do this.I have pressed enter and just about everything on the screen with the cursor, but I can't get my name to highlight green. What am I doing wrong? Hopefully somebody here can help, so I don't have to look like a stooge going to Tech Support. Any advice will help.

Have you been to their website to see if there is any updates on the game that need to be done? On X-box some games tell you you need an update to play when you try to join a room it wont let you and some games will bring up an update that needs to be done before you play the level (could be a new map, new cars, and so on) or it wont let you start. I know when I play Crimson Skies for x-box and I join a room and I dont have the update it wont let them start the game so I end up getting the boot but not sure if there could be something else with your game. Try that if not contact support.

OK, it works now. Thanks dude!!There was a patch that I downloaded, not sure if that had anything to do with it. But of course I might just be a retard too.

In the PS2 versoin theres a "ready" button on the top of the screen I think and in order for your light to be green you have to click that.

I noticed that. I was clicking it, but on the PC you have to wait for it to highlight abd click it in a certin spot. I might not have been patient enough. Even with DSL I am having a hard time racing. My car drives fine, but the other drivers are all over the place, and they will appear out of nowhere and I will crash into them. Might need to fiddle with the options a little.

That will happen sometimes on PS2 if I am playing with people or a host from a far off place so it may not be your connection taht's the problem.
