Aftermarket speaker install ....

Post by bud_one »

I'm having trouble locating speaker harness adapters for thefront speakers - the guys at circuit city keep telling me the ones for GM regular vehicles - (envoy, tahoe,,sierra etc...) will work on thevibe; the connectors are totally different... does any one have a part #or web site that might have the ones that fit. Found a connector for the2003 toyota corolla on car domain.com - but the picture is so vague thatI can't tell if it's the right one...any help would be greatly appreciated...I've got a pair of infinity reference 6002si's that I can't wait to install...but I don't want to butcher the factory harness...

When I bought speakers from Crutchfield, they threw in the harnesses free. Sadly, even though Metra makes them, they all bear a Crutchfield part number, so I can't help you there.I do have two extras (two harnesses, not two pairs) I'd be willing to sell though (I bought extras and never used them), if interested, IM me.

I installed the 6002i in the rear of my vibe using a toyta spec harness from crutchfield, the wiring on our cars from what I can read is primarily Denso -- so i believe it is Toyota then.
