In this thread:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6537MadBill, our resident gearhead, pretty much provided enough evidence (for me anyway) that a strut tower bar provides minimal to NO added stability. IMHO, they are purely cosmetic on this car.

I agree. On some cars the strut towers are far from the firewall, and may actually gain cornering ability from the added stability. The vibe/matrix towers are darn close to the firewall, and have enough support stock. I'm backing RagingFish on this one.I've heard other members talking about the Megan Racing STB because of its sharp looks. Comes in red as well. Many ebay sellers have them.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=WDVW

I would recommend the rear sway bar by Progress Technology. I hear that thing is really nice. It helps a lot.Inder

Many people have noted that the main gain is in the rear bar anyway, but I have yet to see it for myself. Biggest gain in handling will come from new springs. Eibach, Hotchkis, Tein, and H&R are some spring brands. Majority of top performance guys go with the lower drop and stiffer Teins. More moderate daily drivers go with the Eibach Pro-Kit, or the Hotchkis springs for bearable ride comfort.
