strut brace question

im interested in getting a strut brace for improved handling do u need to lower your vibe for it to really help and where can i get one somewhat cheap perfer a red one someone please fill me in on where everyone gets there vibe gt parts!!!

In this thread:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6537MadBill, our resident gearhead, pretty much provided enough evidence (for me anyway) that a strut tower bar provides minimal to NO added stability. IMHO, they are purely cosmetic on this car.

I agree. On some cars the strut towers are far from the firewall, and may actually gain cornering ability from the added stability. The vibe/matrix towers are darn close to the firewall, and have enough support stock. I'm backing RagingFish on this one.I've heard other members talking about the Megan Racing STB because of its sharp looks. Comes in red as well. i apreciate the help guys i know my stuff about engines i know nothing about suspension....anyother parts yall know of to gain either stability or power???

I would recommend the rear sway bar by Progress Technology. I hear that thing is really nice. It helps a lot.Inder
