Here is my baby it is my show car. It is all orginal well except for the paint. Eventhough the car is 55+ years old the car is basically in showroom condition. It only has 12k miles on it. It is in the shop getting new paint and taking care of some minor surface rust.http://img.photobucket.com/alb...s.jpgh ... lb...s.jpg
I dont have any at this time, the engine bay was dirty and I didnt want to show it off plus the engine was rusty. But soon it will be perfectly clean, it is getting painted now and I am getting the engine bay done and getting the engine painted to its orginal color. Also the Horn and various other parts are getting powder coated. It should be completed in a couple of weeks.
it's 55 years old it's do some rust besides it's great to have before and after shots.I lost my 65 malibu back in 93, I still cry about that. But I do have photos of it!Damn thiefs!
Very nice. Do you know the history (previous owners, where stored and bought new at which dealer)? 12k original miles is great. You can't beat the comfort of those bench seats, there just isn't anything like it anymore.
Base Two Tone Satellite, Auto, & Pwr Pkg....my current commuting car.
Yes I do know some of the history. It was bought in Pine Grove and still had the dealership tag on the car when I purchased it. It was stored in a heated garage for over 50 years until the it was sold to the person I bought it from. He kept it in his garage and decided to sell it. I was lucky I found it on the side of the road, and purchased it without a second guess
Your photos really bring back memories. When I was a kid in grade school, the people who lived across the street had a 49 Plymouth. It was sort of an olive green color. I remember that center brake light on the trunk lid.... I guess the Plymouth was decades ahead of its time! You ought to tell some Hollywood producers about your car in case they want to rent it to use in a movie!

^^lol I doubt I would get that much for itAlso about the hollywood thing that is something I would never do. I wouldn't want some actor who doesn't give a **** about my car even looking at it.

Hell, the car was in a 1992 issue of Motor Trend. 1949 Coupe DeVille. Still in the Cadillac museum, so far as I know.Probably didn't hurt that my uncle worked for Cadillac for 30 years.

Not open to the public and resides behoen my work office, which is across the street from the GM Tech Center. Very cool place and everything in the Museam runs! Not uncommon to see them out on nice sunny days. Have to run them the guy who runs it states.
