CAI GT HP MPG & ebay

Post by cieglo »

I've hinted at it before in other threads, I've slept on it in disbelief, I've perplexed as to how to explain it to my wife, but it's true! I bought an Injen CAI ! Woohooo! I ordered it from here:http://stores.ebay.com/raceopt...QtZkmAnd for a great price too, I think. So now I'm just waiting for that big white box. IF it shows up this week, and IF the weather is good this weekend...Yes, I'll take pictures. Yes, I'll read the threads here on installation. Maybe, I'll read the directions (I'm an engineer and we have a hard time reading directions, never mind following them...) included in the box. Yes, I'll probably screw it up at first and have extra parts when I'm done. I am so excited! I can't wait! I've been wanting to do one of these intakes for a long time, but my last car just didn't deserve it.

Congrats on the purchase. You'll love the CAI! What color and what was the price? The sound is awesome, especially in lift and boost in power is nice too.I'm now getting my exhaust and can't wait to install it, hopefully this weekend as well. Later,

I got the chrome, only one they had (I think) at the time, and I'm cheap, so I saved a few $$.I've been thrashing the crap out of this car for the last 2 months, I can't imaging what I'm going to be like now...

Excellent price ($178.00) and fair shipping rate too ($20.00). Last week an AEM for the GT passed on Ebay for $35.00 and nobody bid on it. It was just missing the little rubber mount and had a tiny dent which you could not see once it was installed.

Woohooo!!!(uh, oh, I gotta get me a 10mm socket. I have 852.3 different socket in metric, english, hexidecimal and binary (those are trickey!) but not one 10mm wrench, socket or anything. Go figure. I got my Injen CAI today! Woohoooo...But I can't install it. Boohoooo...Why? Oh. Good question. Because my Check Engine light is still on. A few weeks ago I blew out my lift and the tech told me the computer says I need a new rocker arm actuator. So, the dealer ordered a 88969584 housing and a 88969585 gasket to fix the problem. But of course when I got to the dealership today I found out that they ordered the wrong part and I should have gotten a 88969669 valve so I gotta wait another week until the part comes in.So, because of that I still got no lift and I can't install my CAI - my choice - because until that CE light goes out I don't want to add any more doohickies that may cause other problems. But, the CAI looks sweet in the box.
