I see other Vibes alot, but few AWD Vibes. This car is like a little billygoat. I'm not afraid to go anywhere with it in the winter.

I'll Check-in.....I've got an AWD.....no AWD stories yet. Waiting for some snow to actually stick to the ground...Could be interesting.... While i do have AWD i also have been blessed(cursed) with the Contis.

My wife's daily ride.2004 AWD Abyss, monotone. Moon and tunes, power windows, locks, etc. The only mods we have done, other than our 16 year old daughter dinging the front bumper, is an OEM Vibe full front cover /bra. And I just recently picked up a hiddenhitch brand trailer hitch. Had to be the easiest hitch that I have ever installed. I also have a GM branded car top carrier with the appropriate cargo rails that I will eventually use on the Vibe. Although I do have to find the right mounts that will work with the Vibe's roof rack rails. The carrier was a special order that I paid for for her last vehicle which was a Buick Rendezvous.

I hope to have a 2003 AWD monotone abyss Vibe this Monday...I'm checking one out and REALLY HOPE it impresses me!It seems to have all available options, Moon & Tunes, Power group and Side airbags(gotta have em'- I'm AMAZED most people don't get them)I'm also surprised most people don't get the AWD here in Brooklyn. It snows plenty here in winter! It DOES have the lame steel wheels with covers, so if I buy it(the dealer is asking $13895, GM Certified) I will likely get 16" alloys.I'll let U know what happens!

Our Vibe has pretty much become my wifes car. The winters have been pretty mild since we got it, but she has no trouble getting around when it does snow. I am wondering about tires though. It's got the Contis on 16" alloys and they started getting noisy around 15K miles. Dealer said to cross rotate instead of only front to back as indicated in the manual. We're now at 28K and the noise is worse. Are other tires any better? I recently drove a GT w/Goodyear Eagle RSAs and it was somewhat noisy as well.

Don't really notice it much either......especially since I rain-x'd the windows....Only thing I wish is we had the GT's Engine......you absolutly CANNOT break a tire loose in this car. 2003 Abyss Monochrome AWDMoons/TunesPower PackageAdditionsTint 35% Front 50% Rear GM Chrome Tip for ExhaustGM Rear Bumper protectorGM All Weather front matsGM Mud Guards on all 4 wheels'05 Rear Windsheild Nozzle (twin jets)'05 Sunvisors (cloth covered and extendable!!)Drivers Seat Grab HandleK&N Drop in Air FilterMcNeil Tapeless SunshadesToyota Sunroof DeflectorDelphi XM Skyfi2 on a VSM Mount playing through a Delphi FM convertor.Dunlop FM901 Tires (I highly DO NOT recomend these tires!!)GraphixWerks CF Vibe Badge OverlaysGraphixWerks Reflective Yellow VC OverlayGraphixWerks Reflective Gray GenVibe decal on rear glass (hatch)Side mirrors painted body colourReplaced wimpy horn with 1992 Buick Roadmaster hornsI think thats everything I've done so far......Future Refinements:Replacing inside door handles with Toyota 'trix Chrome ones.Painting Mud Guards Body colourGM Sport Package (minus midgate wing)Adding 2 more 12 volts outlets, one under dash on Pass side, one on rear of console for back seat passengers.

i gots a 2003 shadow 2-tone with the power package. not great mods other than the removal of the cross bars and the addition of all my Yakima goodies. I also have a few Grafixwerks decals on my ride. I'm currently sporting no hubcaps and am considering buying a set of black 17" rims with a crome lip. I saw them in the Tire Rack Catalog. the Speed Star SP1 they look hot.

ok not to sound like an a$$ but if you are rolling backwards down a hill, chances are you are't going forewards

I've got a lava red AWD with moon & satellite tunes package. Wish I had the power package too but didn't have any choice since there was only one red AWD in the state of Florida. Added Enkai rims, weathersby (naah, that's not right but I can't think of the name right now) rubber mats. All ready for the snow of Ottawa, On, which I thought I would be seeing after Christmas 04, but as it turns out, my job transfer was delayed until May 05. There are quite a few Vibes down here but I've not seen ANY other AWDs! ;-) Regards, MoP.S. Oh yes, I forgot to mention..when I bought the Vibe I immediately went to Discount Tire and along with buying the rims, traded the OEM tires for a set of Goodyear Triple Tread Assurance which I imagine will last 3 times as long as the originals. The OE steelies will get a set of snow tires when I finally get to Canada.

Hey Toyotiac!Take a look at the Goodyear Triple Tread Assurance comments on the Tire Rack website. People seem to love 'em and their ratings indicate they think they have good traction and treadwear longevity. They're supposed to be 80k mile tires. I've always dealt with Discount Tire and they gave me a good price when I traded in my OE tires for them. Good luck!
