>ok, here we go:Sunday, I went out to the place where my cousin works to shoot skeet. It' where they load grain barges on the east side of the mississippi river. well, we were drinking beer, shootin' the clay pigeons, you know, gettin' her done. right by where we are shooting, there is a ramp that is used to tilt the grain trucks so the stuff falls out of their trailer into a bin. the ramp is adjustable. well, one of the guys (after having quite a few brews) gets the great idea to raise the ramp slightly and jump his S-10 off of it. (it was a beater truck he drove to work). did i mention there was an approx. 30ft cliff 75 feet away from the ramp??? we all told him not to do it, but he was insistant, so we at least told him not to get the truck over 30mph so he could stop before going over the cliff. well, he hits the ramp going 60mph, does a hell of a jump off the ramp, then, goes right off the cliff!!!!! it was the most amazing thing i have ever seen. the truck landed right on its nose, then fell onto its wheels with a couple bounces. he was knocked out for about 30 seconds, then finally gets out, relatively unhurt!!!! he begs for a beer and a cigarette, then sits and chills.

Hope he enjoyed the S-10 while he had it! My bro did the same thing in his 74 Cutlass. Busted up his chin on the steering wheel pretty good. Buckled the whole car racing a friend!

funny part is, i told him the truck would never run again if he ramped it!he also had to go to work yesterday, so that the bs story they came up with would stick!

this is pretty sweet. 2 Comments...1) I too went skeet shooting on Sunday, but I was at the local gun range.2) this reminds me of the time we took my buddies 86 Cutlass out into a field and accidentally hit a drainage cover that was raised 2 feet above ground for some reason. We had enough momentum to park that beast right on top of it. So yeah, we left it there, and got a tow notice in the mail a few days later.

One of my buddies had an 80 something GMC truck. One night we took it out and ran it through some guys field, only problem was we didnt know there was a ditch about midway through. We got the front end stuck in this ditch, but managed to get it out. Good thing to because the field was full of dead grass about door high. It could have been bad, the grass could have caught fire due to the exhaust being hot. Then the truck could have gone up. It would have been a long walk back to town at midnight. (No beer involved but still funny)
