Hello,My name is David, I have just entered the world of a Vibe owner. My wife, CC, and I just traded in our Explorer on a white 03 base with 22,000 miles. She has to drive 100miles roundtrip each day, and the Ford was killing us on gas. Anyway, the sales manager is a close friend and he took care of us. The car was owned by an elderly couple, and I have rarely seen new cars as clean as this one. I almost got them to finance the supercharger in with the deal, but the extended warranty group would not cover the engine if the SC was installed.(Hello, its a factory part!) If I am missing out so be it, I will just have to educate myself here until the car hits 100,001. So far we have gotten 28mpg, but I feel that when the fun of acceleration wears off, it should climb above 30. Also we are in a cold snap right now, so that affects it.I have really enjoyed reading and looking at the tricked out rides, and have learned a lot of practical wisdom already. The Vibe is a great vehicle all the way around and the comfort is only second to acceleration. Finding this forum has led me to believe we have made the right choice, and given me greater insight into the Vibe!Good to meet you, sorry I can be longwinded,David WestPS. Are there any rally's around AL, ATL, or NW Florida?
Congrats on your purchase and hopefully you will enjoy your Vibe as much as many of us do! Don't hesitate to ask any questions, and if you find a bad apple in this group (as some have turned up from time to time), don't mind them! This is a great site full of information!

My 2003 base Vibe has only about 11,500 miles, so it seems you're a few steps ahead of me. I'm over the hill and go no-where, and that probably explains it. You'll love your new ride. No doubt in my mind about that.
Welcome to the Encyclopedia of Vibe! I bought my used '03 with 22,000 miles about 13 months ago, and it's been fun and trouble-free. If you've been lurking for a while, you probably already know that we love pics! Regarding GenVibe members in your area, click on Member List and then SEARCH by state.EDIT: If the Vibe was very conservatively driven by the prior owner, and you tend to 'put your foot into it' (as I do), your average gas mileage will likely decrease as the car's Engine Control Unit (ECU) adapts to your driving style!
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
yeah mine sure adabted hehe, suck in the fuel here he comes with the key haha.Anyway you know it depends on who the extended warranty is. Some will cover the car for whats STOCK only and some will cover the car for whats on it or available as an option. When I used to work at a dealership, the two companies we worked with would cover all repairs as long as what was on the car was stock or an option from the factory. A GM provided and installed Supercharger would not have effected coverage. But every company and every policy is different...Welcome to the wonderful world of the Vibe here on GenVibe, there is one rule, show us a pic of your ride

Psychobroker, Thanks for the song, and let me say that is one spankin' ride! I appreciate all the welcomes, and I will follow up with some pics. It is not very impressive in light of some of the ones I have seen here though.(It doesn't even have alloy wheels!) That just means the possibilities are endless with what can be done. Also, about the supercharger, the company is United Underwriters, and they said they would not cover any engine components that were directly related to the performance of the supercharger! The way I figure, I will just let the warranty run out , put in some forged pistons, new cams, and then go with whatever is best on the market by then. Thanks for the love,David

I want to see a pic of the car that includes the supercharger and the wheels in the same shot. BTW, Welcome!
Proud to say first full tank for us and it was 30.4mpg. It has been cold here lately, in the 20's in the morning, so judging from what others say on the board mpg should get better as spring comes on. I hope so anyway.David
