I just can't believe it's finally happening. Normally people are like yea I'm kinda sort of thinking about maybe designing a body kit that I might wanna have produced IF theres enough demand. I'm happy that you are making them even though I can't get one I can't wait to see everyone else's Vibes with it. GREAT JOB!!! I'm going x-mas shopping today so I will see where my finaces stand and should be able to get the caps on order here soon.

Sorry I've been busy last few days. Once the test parts are in it should only be a couple of weeks before we have all the parts, once they are ready it should take a week to 10 days to get your parts. Everyone who ordered parts will be contacted to verify shipping address before shipping, then you will know how long exactly. I will keep everyone posted on progress info as I have it. Thanks everyone for your interest. Working on other parts while we wait.As for paint, it will vary as far as your area of the country. Here it will run from $500-$1000 depending on the quality of the shop you use and the materials they use.

Hi Chris,I sent you an email inquiring about HOW the kit will be mounted, what hardware is included, and whether detailed instructions come with.Basically, Jason and I are aiming towards installing the kits ourselves, if possible. The only parts I'd wonder about are removing the roof rails. Please let me know. Thanks

Sorry it has been several days since I've been here had too many things to get done for holidays. The kit is mounted with the factory hardware and will come with instructions that are being done now. The kits like all kits should be pre fitted before paint. This insures nothing is wrong before it is altered (sanded) so the items can be warrantied if necessary. This fitting you can do. This will make sure you will know how it goes on while you don't have to be as careful as you will with new paint on it.The roof rails are a *#*%&($ to get off the car. You must remove the end caps and take the cross bars off, then you need to take the 2 screws out of each end they are torx. Then there just isn't a pretty way to take the whole assembly off. it would be a good idea to put a couple of layers of tape around the sides of these rails to keep any scuffing from occuring. There are three yellow clips that snap into the roof, they are very tight and don't come out without a big fight. They are all between the end posts. One in center and the others are about incenter of each side. If you are strong and tall you can just pull on the silver rail, but you will need help mostly to keep from hitting the car and to keep you from falling when it lets go. You can pry it off but this is not a good idea as scratches will occur. Be careful, and if you have more questions let me know.Chris

(removed), not a single mod I've done to my car has come without obstacles so this challenge I welcome with open arms The clips holding the end caps broke off when I took my crossbars off a year ago so I'm already 2 steps into the process lol! Endcaps come off with a simple pull and slide and the crossbars are already off.

I've never been a big fan of body kits, but I gotta give credit for hard work. One question though... what do you do about speed bumps??? The thing's only got maybe 2 inches of clearance???

We're still looking at Late Feb-Early Mar.I have driven the car with the prototype kit on it over several speed bumps with the wrong drop on the car. It has 3" front and 1 3/4" rear giving it an uncomfortable rake to the front. It still has 4" clearance. With the proper 2" drop it has over 5 1/2" clearance which is much better for all around driving. This does not mean you still don't have to be careful and don't pull all the way up to park blocks and curbs. The kit will also be made with some special features that this will be the first ever to have making it resist damage better than regular fiberglass!!!!! I have not seen it only the demo but it is awesome and worth every bit of what it cost me to drive the kit half way across the country. In the past our shop has sold over 250 different brands of kits and various quality. This new stuff smokes it all. We cannot discuss it in writing much, but be patient, it will be WELL worth the wait!!!

Well, that's impresive. I saw an Eclipse a while back...the front and rear bumpers where flopping around. It looked like someone was using the bumpers as skateboarding ramps and sh*t there were all yellow and cracked.

so this kit will fit an 03?any plans for the rear bumper to accomodate dual exhaust openings?any way you could modify a rear bumper to do that or is that something the customer must doi mean just a little notch, but being symetrical

Yes the kit will fit an 03. As for the dual exhaust. We have discussed it and came up to no answer. It shouldn't be difficult for a body shop to alter the bumper to make an opening by using the exixting opening as a pattern and reversing it.

OK here is the latest info. We are STILL waiting on the test fit parts, mostly due to the Chinese New Year I guess. They say late March. I know this sucks and I 'm more sorry than you know. This makes us look like jerks and it is entirely not in our control and I am sorry. THEY ARE BEING PRODUCED! Anyone who has any questions or doubts can call Aerogear or us to get more info. I am also sorry for being gone doing work out of town I am not trying to avoid anyone, just trying to get ahead enough to begin the next project for this fall. A new COBALT. Check out the concept pics on our web page and the pics of the vibe along with the other cars we have built. I will try to make more of a point to be here more. We are going to try to be at the meet in june, just not for sure yet with the GM small car bash 2 weeks later and we have to be at it. If we go to the vibe meet we will have all our stuff and be able to make and install any stickers and dash items and make custim stuff.

I heard dealin gets some good money... The kids now are into Coke and pills I'm not gonna touch that lol.I have over 1500 in the bank that I don't have access to but my mom said she is getting tired of looking at my car without the endcaps on (they blew off in the wind a month ago) so she said go to the dealer and order new end caps. I told her I was eventually getting the replacement pieces though so what's the point so she said the go order them and she will get me money frmo my account to use.

I will (hopefully ) be getting the rear and top spoiler from RKSport, so we'd still be different. + I plan on painting mine eventually (metallic purple ), and also, when was the last time we ran into each other out here anyways!?! People would think they were seeing things if they saw one and then saw another almost like later 10 miles in the opposite direction the other was headed! I say go for it!
