Underbody neons...

Post by Emerica13 »

For all you guys who have installed underbody neons, what exactly is involved in the installation process. I am thinking about getting a set, but I want to make sure that I can remove them if necessary without too much difficulty. I'd like to know basically the steps involved with wiring and attaching them to the car and any other tips or bits of info you think would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

I have all the info you need in my garage Easy as cup cakes to install and easy to uninstall (I've gotten plenty of tickets) Plus I take them off for winter every year because of the ice and snow! I'm gonna put em back on in March if you wanna join me and install yours too (if you get one).

So do you bolt them on to something under the car or do you use, as you say, "Tie Wraps"?

I bolted mine because roads are ruff. I had to rebolt the rear one like 3 times until I finally riveted brackets into the frame because the screws kept snapping in half thanks entirely to excelent Michigan roads. Ties should work though as long as you keep an eye on it and don't let them get too cold.

Sweet, thanks a lot guys. I think I'll try it with ties first just to see how it goes, then maybe I will bolt them on later. As for the wiring part though, what did it require in terms of connecting them and stuff. Basically what is involved in wiring them up?

It should come with little cut rubber hoses to slide over the conections of the wires then you just need electrical tape.
