So, Luke Duke, did ya have a nice drive? Do tell!BTW, the G6 that somebody at work has actually belongs to a dude that works in my department! He's already put 5% tint on the thing. It's scary though, I know more about that damn car than he does. Hell, he probably hasn't even read the owner's manual, where I have a couple of times.

DUDE!I can't believe I forgot to reply to this thread! Yes, I actually got the car two days in a row, by a fluke. I unfortunately, though, screwed up on day 1. Brought my digi cam with me to snap pics, and low and behold, when I got to a nice scenic spot, and went to snap, got the big ol error "NO CARD!" That's right, I forgot my memory card. So I didn't get any pics.BUT. Ride wise, this car is fantastic! The responsiveness of the engine is fantastic! I accidentally spun the wheels on several occasions because, in the Vibe, I have to floor it to get the car to move. But in the G6, the extra cylinders and horses don't need so much of a kick -- so being used to driving the Vibe, I pressed the throttle too much and spun. The manual shift mode is a blast! It really was great on the highway when getting up to speed...This car is fast! Got into several quickie races. Killed a sunfire (no surprise), an explorer, and even some v8 truck...The remote start is AWESOME! I can never knock the reliability and responsiveness of factory remote systems. I was able to remote start the car from in the far back of my restuarant's kitchen, in our office, with no windows anywhere... My aftermarket remote system on the Vibe doesn't get anywhere NEAR that range...Just a few small gripes. One, fog lights are push-button instead of a rocker...and they turn off every time you shut the car off...so if I restart the car, I gotta put the fogs back on manually. That's irritating. But if it were my car, I'm sure that could be rewired...And the audio system is fair, at best. It also suffers from the white noise problem I experienced in my Vibe...so the problem seems to be not in the Vibe, but in Delphi's systems...An auto-dimming mirror would be nice too...but sadly, with the onstar, it's not something I could change-out myself if I had one...Though my understanding is you can get auto-dim mirrors w/ onstar in nicer cars (caddie, perhaps), so i might be able to pull that kind of swap.Overall, I'm STILL amazingly impressed with this car...I think I'm gonna get another shot to play next week..Vibe has to go into the shop overnight, and since I'm not old enough to be given a loaner, that means pops has to take it in...which means mike gets the G6 again! WOOOOOOO!I promise to get photos next time!

Cool! And yes, I've had the no card thing happen to me before. Glad the G6 made it back in one piece. Sounds you had fun with it!BTW, for future reference in regards to the mirror thing, my folks' 2004 Impala has OnStar + auto dim... So if you ever end up with a G6, you could try to find a mirror from one of those cars, possibly..

I carry my digital camera in a small padded camera case that has enough room for two extra sets of batteries and THREE memory cards. I keep the camera in my car 95% of the time, and just bring discharged batteries in to recharge and full memory cards to download. That way I'm (almost) always prepared to snap pics!

Sounds about like me. I carry a number of electronic gizmos and gadgets with me at all times - camera, memory cards, PDA, ham radio, weather radio, Sirius receiver & home kit, GPS, tons of rechargeables, blah blah blah. Prepared for dang near anything, I suppose. lol!

Thanks a lot for this thread. The lease is running out in March on my 2003 Vibe and I have really been having trouble deciding what my next vehicle will be. Your insightful posts and great pictures have definitely helped me decide it will be a G6!!
