JMHO, I totally dislike the new front end...the flush grilles just do not appeal to me, and I find the chrome rings around the grilles to be kind of tacky.I parked in front of an '05 Monday when I went to a training session for my National Chemistry Week demo...just so they could see how much better my front end looks.

I prefer the old style. However, I saw an add on TV last night for the '05 (Abyss color) and it looked hot. So, if anything were to happen to my boy (knock on wood it doesn't, I love my car), I would definitely get another Vibe.

Welcome to the Encyclopedia of Vibe! As the last of the 2004's disappear off dealer lots, the issue will become a moot point among buyers who want new Vibes. Personally, I'd like to see the '05 grille with a (Lava) red trim in place of the chrome (on any body color except Lava red).

The 05 bodystyle is starting to grow on me. Actually, when I go to school on Monday's and Wednesday's at nite, there's always this, I wanna say moonstone colored Vibe base. If I'm not mistaken, moonstone replaced shadow correct? IF so, yeah, this kid parks right behind mine every time I go there, kinda cutie .Inder

I like the 03-04 front end too. But I had to order a 05 since I can't pick mine up until I get back to the states in July 05.But it's a tradeoff...I like the fact that the 05's have a subwoofer installed from the factory since I usually don't mess with stereos unless I hate the sound or features of the factory one...I don't like the fact that I'll have to cough up cash for the roof rack crossbars...I like the fact that the monotone is now standard...don't like the fact that the GT's power rating dropped again.I'm sure I'll be happy with my 05 though. The chrome grill rings might look cool if I can figure out how to make it a smoked chrome look instead of a regular bright chrome.

There are a few cars just too ugly to own - can you say Aztek? Hummer? Other than that, I am more intereted in reliability, functionality and value than minor issues of "looks".

The '05 isn't so bad now that I see more of them. I'll probably end up with one at some point.

I prefer the old body style, however should something happen to this Vibe, I'd buy another one even if it had to be the new body style.

I'll go for an '05 anyday over my 2003...I actually like the smoothed-over treatment up front, body color mirrors, subwoofer, etc.Only dislikes are the lack of the armrest storage and 12V outlet, both can be easily added...Plus, it has given GM the opportunity to work out a few bugs... May be a better car all together than my '03. Wish I could afford to trade! It could keep me away from the service department... lol

I think the 03 & 04 have a more agressive look.

I personally like the old bodystyle over the new. But then again, if I owned one with the new bodystyle, I would prefer that over the old more than likely. I do like the match painted mirrors on the new.

Defintelty the 03-04. When I first seen the new grills, I thought "Mini Van". It totally takes away from the sporty look.

I think the newer lines would've worked much better if they kept the end of the hood at the top of the grills. That would've been primo. As it is, the strip between the end of the hood and the top of grills really contributes to the shrunken minivan look, I think.

I definitely think the old body style is by far better looking than the new. After seeing the new, I am glad I bought my 04. If anything were to happen to it though, you might want to check out the 2006 Pontiac Torrent on the Pontiac website under the concept and upcoming cars. That will definitely be on my list should I win the lottery or for some reason lose my Vibe.By the way, the Pontiac Aztec is the ugliest vehicle on the road! You can't even fix one up to look nice. No bodykit can help that hideous beast!

A bit more SUVish than the vibe, nice suv's though.

I know, but it looks a lot better than either of those. Had I known the Equinox was coming out or gone to see the Vue I may not even be driving a Vibe right now. Don't get me wrong, I love my Vibe, but I want 1 of just about every car on the road, and my decision would have been a lot harder had I actually looked instead of just looking at 3-4 cars and stopping at the Vibe! I'm just saying, I really like the look of this new Torrent. It looks a lot tougher than either the Equinox or the Vue, should anything ever happen to my Vibe.

you're just mad because your front end looks like a sunfire!! (this is not a compliment) Don't hate on the sportier (yet less aggressive) 05 front end. i own one and I love it, if you are a true vibe fan you will accept it and eventually come to appreciate it, cause it was not going to stay the same forever. peace out..........negative Vibe

I don't understand out the 05 could look sportier just like others don't understand how we can like the 03-04 so much. But I agree with you, the 03-04 was different. This one is too minivan.

05 front ends definitely remind me of minivans, its way too round and bubbly looking IMOafter this car I would save some money and buy the '05 Lotus Elise same engine but much lighter and oh so beautiful
