The "Bring Kari to NYC" Fund!

Ok.I am determined to get Kari to New Jersey to go with us to the NY Auto Show.I've been talking with her, and she really wants to be there more than anything...Problem is, Kari is a little underfunded. Seems she got screwed out of a job she truly deserved and is living the "poor college student life."Thus, I've decided that we have a great community here, and I thought those of us who are "better off" than her might be willing to send $10 or $15 to our beloved Tennesseean who is aching to come to NYC.Our goal is to raise $250, mostly for plane, but also for hotel.After all, I watched this site band together and help greenfire replace his engine when it blew up.So, if you're interseted in donating, whatever amount you can spare, IM me and I'll let you know how to go about doing so...Come on Genvibe, let's get Kari to New York!!!Ragingfish's Official Donate-O-Meter: $250Kari and Ragingfish would like to thank those who donated to her cause:- ColonelPanic- tnpartsguy- kostby- joatmon- NSimkins- Psychobroker- rasermon- MoonDogg

Probably mid-March or so, since we're going on March 26, and we'd need time to get the tickets without it being *too* last minute.

According to what I have read, you should buy a plane ticket at least 3 weeks in advance or else the prices start going up, so I'm probably looking to purchase the ticket sometime in the next 2-3 weeks.

We did it!!!!Thanks to all the EXTREMELY kind folks here at Genvibe, we successfuly raised enough money and Kari booked her plane ticket tonight!Thanks to this amazing community for your heartfelt donations!!!You guys ARE amazing!!!!

The speed amazed me too...we were well over halfway there in less than 24 hours after the initial post was made. I never expected anything even remotely close to that, and wasn't even sure we'd get much of anything at all. I'm glad everyone proved me wrong though! Even though we did meet the goal, anything in excess would still be welcomed because I could still use some to help with the hotel.
