Are the '03/'04 and '05 hoods IDENTICAL? CF GB needs help...

Post by Psychobroker »

Sorry to post this under general topics, but I needed to get the attention of our seasoned Pontiac pros, guys with "connections" Under the Exterior forums, you will find a rather lengthy group buy feeler thread for custom Carbon Fiber hoods, offered by member Havok (thanks again ). This is an awesome opportunity for us GVC "tuners", but we've hit a snag!We need to confirm that the Vibe's hood design has NOT changed from '03/'04 to '05 models with the newer front end. Based on the following pics, they seem identical to me, but we need confirmation from you big wigs:A side problem this might have presented will be for those of us that ordered Psychovibe's bodykit - myself, damronj, and rcasciola, and maybe others ($1k invested already, with paint/labor to come.. )Here's a link to the CF hood GB "feeler" thread. I've already sent my $50 deposit, so any rush help you guys can give us would be awesome:http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...ge=11Nick, Ragin, etc...anyone who would know for sure

Called my dealer. He said they were the same. But the usually are not 100% accurate in what they say. FWIW.

When I was at the dealer the last month we were talking about the new front end and how i did not like the look. We pulled my 04 next to a new 05 and compaired, the 05 seemed to me to be a bit shorter, the sales guy told me it was an optical illusion. Good luck guys!

Wow, I almost want to jump all up in that and get some love now that I know they are the same part! So far almost everything is going as planned, as of now only a few things could go wrong with the group buy on my end.

My dream has always been to get my hands on an 05, and do a retrofit of an 03 front end...I did pretty extensive research (despite the fact I haven't a chance in hell at doing this), and found VERY little is different in 05 compared to 3/4...But clearly, I'm a bit too late getting into this...
