MAF Distance From TB

Post by BlueCrush »

Does the MAF need to be a certain distance from the throttle body to work properly? Can it be attached right next to the TB without throwing a CEL?

Sounds like you might be looking to engineer your own intake? You're kind of limited by the wiring though...not much play in that...

The distance shouldn't make a difference but getting it placed properly in the pipe and getting the same flow characteristics as stock with variable RPM may be difficult. You may need to do some ECU fuel tayloring to get the best results. I'm not familiar with the 05 but you may also need to leave enough room for vacume lines.
