New Vibe

Post by cherkcom »

Hey all,Just wanted to say that on Tuesday I finally bought my Vibe--a base two-tone platinum '05 with manual transmission, Moon & Tunes, Power Package, theft-deterrent alarm, side/curtain airbags, and ABS. It's a sweet ride. I'm still getting used to the clutch (it's a little different than my '95 Honda Civic VX) and the blind spots, but I love the higher ride. And I've already found myself going faster than expected.Sorry no pix yet (save for my new avatar). Now I have to start working on some mods! My first might be to get an '03/'04 center storage console. I'd like to eventually put back in all the things Pontiac took out of the '05.Thanks to all who post here--I did a LOT of reading before I plunked down my money.

Congrats on the Vibe purchase. Check with the parts dept. at your local Toyota dealership for the center storage console part# 58905-02210-B1 ($110) if you can't find one off an '03 or '04.

I recall reading some discussion about installing the missing jack, but I don't recall that anyone actually went ahead and did it.Thanks for the welcomes and info! I'll try to get some pictures taken this weekend.
