Like many others, I can't stand the stock horn. Before everyone says search, I know. I've searched and asked and everyone says Hella horns. I found these from a link someone posted and wondering if I should get them. $40 seems like a good price.http://www.denunzioracing.com/..._Code=
Hellas are nice and loud, but have a tendency to crap out unexpectedly...I'm on my 3rd kit...and *knocks on wood* they've been running strong for over a year now...except once they crapped out, and it turned out to be a bad wiring job on my part. I can accept my own flaws.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
My friend just sent me a soundclip of his hellas on his 2.5rs. I was a bit disappointed, it sounded just like the Vibe!?I want a nice deep horn, or just a regular sounding one you would hear in a big suv.
I have the supertone set, and to be honest, am not that impressed. Although, they still beat the stock ones. $40 is a pretty good price. I think I paid $45?
They aren't air horns. They don't sound like stock, and they're plenty loud enough for anyone's normal use.

Any auto store...but they all seem kinda 'cheap' to me.. Which is why I like the Hellas...they're pretty solidly built, and i've had them on for a year with no issues.

I was thinking about replacing mine, but the more I hear the Vibe's the more I like them. It's kinda like a Jeep wave type thing, I hear the high pitched beep and I know its a Vibe or Matrix where ever I'm at lol. My friends think my horn is awsome too because it sounds European and exotic, which is also why I decided to keep it because it sounds unique. I'm not quite sure if it's loud enough for others to hear because I've never needed to use it to warn anyone or b*tch at them but I think it's fun

scherry2, right on. My thoughts exactly.Guys, you're talking all this aftermarket stuff. Just go to a salvage yard and find an old Caprice. Grab one of those horns for $5. They sound great.
In my opinion, just go to your local parts store and get a high and low F key horn pair. They should only be around 15 bucks and will work just as well as those Hellas.
