Just for fun I thought I'd post pics of my old 02 S-10 Xtreme that I traded in to get my Vibe. I had a lot of fun with this truck and had a lot more planned with it before my wife got pregnant and her 97 Mercedes C230 started falling apart! Oh well. It was fun.

I'm not too crazy abut xtremes but for some reason yours looks alot different than the ones around my house Yours looks ALOT better than the kids that drive em here. I'm not a truck fan but to me, the Xtreme blazers and S-10s took away the skill needed to make a custom truck. Like the guys that were into S10s originally that made their own bodykits and lowered their own trucks and then all of a sudden anyone can just go out an buy a truck that has all the stuff on it stock. I think it just kinda took away from the uniqness of custom trucks. Just like Porsches and Ferraris. ANYONE can go out and buy a fast car (or in this case custom truck) if they have the money but it takes a special skill to actually make that car fast (custom) yourself.Obviously there are still some Xtreme owners that know how to customize their trucks (apparently you're one of them) but around here mnost of the Xtreme owners pay someone else to install a system and tint and maybe have their dad buy a set of ugly @$$ wheels and they think their trucks that baddest thing on the road. That's a VERY sharp truck though. Wheels are gorgeous, not too gaudy or oversized, they are just right

They barely fit and rubbed on the inside if I tried to turn too sharp. I still have them and was going to try to put them on the Vibe, but they were way too wide b/c of the offset. I have pics somewhere of them sitting in the fenderwells when we tried to put them on. Have to find them and post them when I get home if I remember.

Not to be a downer here. I was never a big fan of the eXtreme. Yours does look very nice though. The S-10 spinoff that I did like that they only made for one year was, I believe, called the Chevy Typhoon.

They were bad-@$$ and are pretty rare since they weren't around for long. They were s/t-charged stock and were pretty freakin' quick from what I understood. Too bad these American manufacturers give up on some things so quickly and keep producing other hideous beasts that should have been repossessed and destroyed long ago!

Twanks is the term for 20"sDub-Duces is the term for 22"s You hear all the latest fads from the "ghetto crowd" here at Chippewa Valley high school. A little section I like to call downtown Detroit by the gym is full of colorful language and all sorts of interesting words (removed)!
I saw a Typhoon the other day, would be a cool truck/blazer(whatever) to own, I believe they could keep up with Vettes.

Quote, originally posted by MiVibe-ToolGuy »NICE truck Jason! I really like those... And what is the crap about a Mercedes falling apart? German cars do not, you lie! Man, that thing(the Mercedes of course!) was the biggest POS I have ever seen! Actually, it wasn't that bad. When my wife bought it (for $18k used!), it was pretty nice, but we took it to Vegas and it started f-ing up about 1/2 way there, died when we pulled out of the gas station to get gas. Then after that it died every time we stopped. Got it back to SD and had it checked. They said it was the O2 sensor, so we took a risk and went to a parts yard and got one for like $250! Apparently that wasn't the problem b/c after a short time it kept on doing it. We took it in and had it checked with a comp and they came up with all kinds of s%&*, like one of the valves or something was jacked up, the O2 sensor still read bad, and a slew of other things. That is about the time I decided we needed to get rid of it, and my S-10 was too small for the 3 of us to be, so we traded in both of them for the Vibe. The Mercedes ended up being worth like $9k less than she paid for it and my truck was even, so now my payments are freakin' $540/mo thanks to that POS that she bought when she was still single and I was in FL in school. I wanted her to give it to her ex, but she wanted to keep it. Now I am kicking myself for not forcing her to give it to him. He is the one who wanted it to begin with! Oh, and thanks BTW!
