Remote on Amp using 12v Ignition

Post by Punchie »

Basically i am trying to install an amp and sub on my stock HU w/ M+T, and I need to know how to wire my line out converter correctly into my HU. I already know how to splice etc, but im not exactly sure which wires. I tried the Black/Yellow and Red/White intertwined wires and it didnt work. I believe these to be the Rear L and R speakers. Thanks.

Because you have the M&T, I believe you need to wire your line-output converter after the amplifier under the passenger seat. Do a search, there're posts with the pin-outs of the amplifier connections. The signal coming from the radio to the amplifier is not powerful enough to properly run the line-output converter.

Red is the industry standard aftermarket color.. Otherwise, you want the Gray wire which is two pins in on the bottom row behind the radio.
