Picture a 4-door Orange, General Lee!

It may haver some similarities, but it appears to be a lot longer and more like it's ancestors (the old 40's suburbans) than the PT does. This Charger, however, should never have been made a 4 door and, while it may resemble the Mustang in some ways, shouldn't look just like it with minor changes. Besides, the PT and HHR are both GM whereas the Charger and Mustang are totally different makes.

It is good that there are many car options, as different people have different preferences. I do not like the look of the HRR at all, but the production charger looks strong and mean, and if it looks like a mustang then good for Ford. My Vibe looks like a Mazda 3 wagon clone, but I still like it.
Quote, originally posted by joatmon »My Vibe looks like a Mazda 3 wagon clone, but I still like it.Vibe and Matrix, yes. Vibe and Mazda3, no. Not even close to the same. Mazda3 is closer to a Focus than a Vibe. IMHO, the Mazda3 looks a whole lot better than the Vibe, but I still love my Vibe all the same. Jumped the gun and bought the Vibe B4 I went to the Mazda dealer. All I saw was the Matrix B4 I bought the Vibe and loved the 3 at the SDIAS the year they came out. Oh well, but they don't look at all the same.

Now I know what they did with the leftover grilles and hoods from the (old style Dakota) mid-sized pickup trucks, and rear-ends from the Stratus. It's NOT a pretty face or tail. Raw horsepower DOES cure alot of ills, however. When you're in the driver's seat, it doesn't matter how ugly the car is, as long as it is FAST.

Ick. 1) Too many doors, by two.2) Love the concept car! This doesn't even resemble it.3) Dodge's logic is flawed. The younger generation will choose a 4-door 300M or Magnum over this anyday. The older generation would have been willing to fork over a few bucks more for something closer to the concept.4) 0-60 in 6? The original could do 0-60 in 4.6. Nuff said.

Yes HUGE grills are back for Dodge and Chrysler.

A front-end does a LOT for a car, and this one takes a dump IMHO. It looks nothing like it's concept. At least they could have been original and not copied styling cues from the Mustang, 300 ans Stratus. I'd much rather feed a Magnum R/T . This "thing" has too many doors, too rounded a look, and just looks sloppy to me. I'd pay a little more and get the 300 before this. The new Mustang beats it hands-down IMHO
Well now that I actually saw this car in person from going to the auto show last week I can honestly say I am disappointed...The car is boring and the interior blows! It is the same interior as the Magnum, makes sense but it is very dull and boring. The 300C is much better, costs more but is better. The Charger was the biggest disappointment at the show for me.
Quote, originally posted by MiVibe-ToolGuy »The 300C is much better, costs more but is better. I bet it doesn't cost MUCH more...a fully loaded Magnum R/T is only !$4k less than comperable a 300c.
LOL! Dodge just couldn't stand it, could they? With the new retro Mustangs, and the GTO resurfacing, they just had to throw in... This thing is (removed)-ugly. When is Dodge gonna' learn that they can't put their truck front-end on every vehicle and make it work??? It looks okay on the Magnum, but that's about as far as I think they can push it. The cars need to look like cars, don't you think?~Z600

This thing s a disgrace to all muscle cars. Ford is the ONLY company that is doing a descent job retaining a resemblance to the old cars with the cobra coupe (GS-1 or whatever) Bronco and mustang. The other two Charger concepts (1999 concept) was beautiful and actually resembled the older Chargers with the taillights, side vents, flairs on the rear fenders etc. This one, not only is it a four door which doesn't work on a muscle car, but it looks NOTHING like the old ones, which completely irritates the hell out of me. Since I am studdying engineering and to become, one day, a car designer myself, I wish I could just get in there and slaughter the designers of this car.

Every car in the line has the same front grill assembly. Look at the Vibe, GTO, G6, Grand Prix, Grand Am, Bonneville, Montana, they all have the same front end. I don't exactly think it works on all of them.

I'd still rather have the new Nissan 2007 Infiniti Skyline GT-RAWD twin turbo, possibly going to use the VQ32DETT or the VQ30DETTThe first all wheel drive TT skyline to truly make it to US production.Thinking about it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.. someone pass me a beer.

There's mixed feelings about the new GTO, but at least it's a hell of a lot better looking than the (removed)-ugly, obese, 4-door, slush-box only "Charger". (I hate to even call it that) W.T.F. was the Dodge marketing team thinking?

My sentiments exactly. I like the '03-'04 Vibe's much better than the new ones. IMO, the '05 looks kinda' goofy... that grille just doesn't really fit with the rest of the car, and the chrome takes away from the sportiness, makes it look more like a family car.No offense to you recent buyers, of course! ~ Z600

Don't the cars share sheet metal just the stickers over the top of the metal are different now? All of the cars I mentioned are being aimed for production. They were being tested (Hidden under body-hugging tarps, in some cases to prevent spy photos) at the Nurburging, where automakers often test their pre-production versions of the cars and work out loose ends, etc.the Audi S4 is due this spring (AWD V8)2006 Miata MX-5 (V6? It should be cheap and fun to modify, coming this summer.
