"Look mommy, it's a fish!" I think it looks goofy, but to each his own, right? What I find humorous is all those high quality materials providing downforce via double-sided stickytape! The ones in your pics may actually be bolted, which would be a little more respectable. That is a jam-up little Focus, though, despite the bumper gills. I wish someone made a headlight assembly like that for the Vibe! The '03 and '04s would look seriously mean if you added that to their angular front ends. ~Z600

They are actually called canards I believe and alot of high end race cars use them for a bit of extra downforce on the front wheels (like you said). I personally think they look sweet just because they give more the effect of a race car or high end super car.As for there methods of application I can agree some are questionable, but bolting them on is definitely legit.

HID headlights (but with black finish, I believe) were an option on the 2003-04 SVT Focus. These may be aftermarket. I can't really tell if the base car was SVT or not.

My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.

They probably wouldn't even make a difference before 150mphProbably more like 120ish but thats the why they are usually on high end super cars that go like 180, so at least they have some functionality but I totally agree the evo kits look a bit.... well.... F'd up to be quite frank espcially on the matrix lol
