Maybe they are being used as dealer trades or something and keep getting shuffled around instead of being bought/leased. (I have no problem with the Envy color however... )

I saw one on a dealer's lot when I first started looking, it had everything I wanted except for the color. After my reaction to the green was less than envious the salesperson didn't even try to sell it to me.....Larry

I don't understand why the Color Neptune is not a popular color (right above Envy, below salsa and equal to Lava) I think that it's a great color...There's not a lot of vote so far... maybe it's because of that !!I ordered a Vibe with this color a couple of weeks ago...

Abyss monotone. My last 3 cars were various shades of silver, with red interior, with black interior and with gray interior. I've gotten it out of my system now, time for a change.
I love my Lava vibe!!! As to Neptune, I originally wanted blue, but when I saw it I thought it looked black - it is just too dark unless you are in direct sunshine.

Thanks for the info! I find the BASE/AWD/GT breakdown for the Abyss color quite interesting compared to the rest on the list. Is this a "car guy" thing? My boyfriend always prefers a black finish on cars. Says it looks better than any other color.
quote: Is this a "car guy" thing? What I think is a real "car guy" thing is the posts all over this forum on ram charging this, super charging that, changing things, modifying thigamajigs, intakes, headers and whatever else they can find to change. To me, the Vibe is a cute little station wagon to putt-putt around town in. But I'm female, what do I know!

This is my first so I wanted to say hi and thanks for providing a website for our cars. I recently purchased a Vibe GT in the Neptune color. Really wanted to go the monotone but they are so hard to find.
"that weird ugly green color" is what I remember first calling it.. My partner loved it though- we test-drove that Envy, expecting still to go for the Matrix, but eventually came back to "Ivy"- she grew on me, and the Matrix colors seemed sooo boring (I've always liked black cars, but maybe I've had enough of them) I kept coming back to the Vibe for the color, the cladding and the roof rack.I haven't seen another Vibe on the road, much less an Envy- how cool that it may be a collectible!
Hi all.. I'm ullbergm's wife. When we went to go see the Vibe, there were 2 on the lot. One was a Neptune with ABS, and the other was the Abyss with the Moons and Tunes. We asked the dealer to find one that had both and the only one in the country at that time was an Envy available in IL. We looked at the color swatch and bought the Abyss.Since we got our Vibe, I've seen a Satelite roaming the roads as well. One day it even followed me into AutoZone! It was funny seeing two Vibes in one parking lot.Another cute little thing: I am the one with the aqua Tercel (Other cars, Tercel Makeover thread). There are 2 of us in town with a car that color, and the other is actually a bit lighter. So I know what its like to have a unique color of car.Cheers!Andrea
I choose Salsa.I had a white cavalier b4, the rust come up to fast on a white carI had a black Montana, ok for rust (I had it for 2 years and I boughtit bran new) but we can see all little scratches and it is so tough toto keept it clean. So from my part I`d choosen a white monotone Vibe but my girlfrienddidn`t want that colour and due to my previous experiences with whitecar, I choose salsa
I have chosen "Neptune" in "two-tone" for my upcoming car, which is currently stuck in the dang NUMMI plant due to the work stoppage at the ports. Hopefully they'll build it this week. I'll post a pic when it comes.
Shockingly enough there are two of them in the Toronto (Canada) area....uhm...ugly, but unique in the same way. I'm thinking, Christmas shopping in a mall parking lot with 5000 cars, it will stick out!

Hello, folks. I just got a Lava Vibe yesterday, but thanks to these forums, I'd been able to read actual driver feedback before buying. The predominance of customer satisfaction here went a long way toward sealing my decision!I wasn't aware of a shortage of Vibes - my dealership (James-Rivard Pontiac GMC in Tampa, FL) has at least 8 on the lot (well, 7 now). They're all Lava and Satellite, with one Abyss, and most were automatic so I got the only Moon & Tunes Lava Vibe they had.

My wife and I looked at all the brochures and pictures of the vibe we could find. We decided we really liked the envy color untill we saw it in person. We really thought that the envy color would look quite different from the split pea green soup color that it is. So with that color out.The vibe I and my wife own is salsa. We fell in love with it as soon as the dealer drove it off the truck. It hadn't even been PDIed yet and we decided we wanted that car.
salsa two-tone. Beautiful!!!!!! All I ever see on the dealer lot is abyss and satellite...I have only seen one other vibe on the road...it was Frosty. I like having one that I never see on the road.
Heather Proud vibe owner I'M DRIVING IT 'TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF! IT HAS SURVIVED ABUSE FROM A DUCK......A COYOTE...AN ARMADILLO...A HUGE DEER (NONE OF THEM WERE PETS EITHER ) ...AND A DAUGHTER....WHAT A CAR! 106K AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!!
Not really a dream, per se, but a lasting daydream: I got out of my car this morning, after gently pulling it into a remote corner of my office's parking garage (a.k.a. Hall of Dings), and said to myself, "I LOVE this car." The content feeling of my purchase (not to mention no payments 'til January) lasted me well into the morning.I haven't seen any Lava Vibes around here, though they can't be that uncommon. My dealership had so many Satellites I started seeing double. There were no Envys in stock, but assuming I liked the color in real life, I would have bought one.And the bright orange version (as seen in the logo at top of page) is a great color. It reminds me of my uncle's Sunbeam from the 70s, and it's my favorite Super Beetle color too.
