Vents-Easy to get out?!

Post by CaCathy13 »

I want to take the vents out and paint them the same silver color as the console...I haven't really played with them yet cuz I'm afraid I'd break it...but has anyone tried taking them out to clean or paint them?

I pulled out unit to left of steering whell...it is tough to pull and held in by 5-6 sturdy clips but just pull straight and whole assembly pops out...

I was wondering this myself. I was looking around my dash today and thought that it might be easier to apply the dash trim that I ordered if the vents were pulled out. The coin holder to the left of the steering wheel, the button for the hatch, and the blank plates to the right of them all pop right out pretty easily. They're just clipped in too.
