My radio they don't even make anymore. But if you want a radio like mine, go with the new Kenwood MP-625. It's the newest version of my radio. That I know of.Inder Singh

hey Inder I was just looking at the harness that came with the deck I got (the person made a half @ssed attempt to make the right connections) and I wondered how you attach the old wires to the new harness? It seems like you either (a) pull the wires out of the old pin setup or (b) cut then and then twist the two together. I haven't gotten my new wiring harness that I orderer yet, should come tomorrow afternoon supposedly, but I wanna know how to connect it the right way. Also for the antenna adapter, I got the right size one (supposedly) but the stock antenna jack doesn't stay in the converter hole very well, is yours taped or do I just need to push it in harder?
Nm i managed to get the pins out of the stock harness (you gotta take off the blue clippy parts then you can pull the pin connectors with the wires out) hehe problem is a couple of them touched and blew the fuse for the inside lights. Doh! So now I gotta fix that
That shot of the HD1 was with it open, with access to the Memory Stick slot and CD loader. It closes flat, like any other radio. That Sony is probably the best in-dash HDD CD player available. Even better than the original Empeg units. I'd safely say it's probably one of the best Sony units released.

I still have stock. I want to get the a new one, but the system on its own without installation (because I wouldn't know where to start), would run me about $2000. In my case, that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Oh, and I picked up a Rotary Commander remote from ikesound.com for $20 shipped, and it works flawlesslly with the HU library Here's a pic of it ripping a CD:
Oops, there went 2 grand! Must be nice to be rollin' like that. Everything I own is in my wife's 02 Ram! I put it in there when I was driving it and now I can't get it back! Can't afford getting new stuff buying body kits, fenders, roof caps, spoilers, etc, etc, etc... Someday I'll get my system back. I used to have a Pioneer DEH-MP3600 (I think if I remember right) in my S-10, but since I got rid of my stock radio I left it in there for the trade-in. Damn, this hammer is starting to hurt! Had it hooked up with the XM and everything. Kept the subs and amp, but once again, in the wife's truck. I would love to have one of those new AVIC-N1's! I saw that in the ad and started rethinking my body kit plans! Priorities, I guess!
