*GASP*...you criminal! I can see you gettin pulled over. "License and registration please. Also, I'll need to see your license for that XM radio you got there"Good info to know. Someone on another board wants XM while stationed in Germany. I'll pass this on to him.

Um..in Canada, it'll work. In Germany, it won't. There's only two satellites and they're pointed directly at the US, there's no hope for using it overseas. Up into Canada, yes. Down toward Mexico, Puerto Rico, yes, but not across the oceans.Cool that you managed to get it up into Canada, though!

interesting...there is an XM version for Canada coming down the pipes (from what i understand)Satellite Canada or somethig like that....personally, i just don't find the idea of paying for radio very appealing.

XM will be piping up to Canada, as long as they agree to %5 CANCON. Of course, there are already complaints from the US side...

in my younger, more impressionable, days i thought the whole CANCON thing was annoying...but over the years i've come to realize that a large percentage of the music i like and listen to is actually canadian!it's nice when things work out!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyy CANCON! Quote, originally posted by ArcsVibe »How much is it per month? I paid a bulk rate up front of about US $450, and that gets me 5 years of service at about US $7.50 a month. To get it, if your receiver is XM ready, then all you need is the appropriate tuner box (I'm guessing Sony makes one to interface with their HU's), and an antenna. That's it!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

When I was down at the Detroit Autoshow 2 weeks ago, I had a chat w/ the pretty ladies at Sirius and they mentioned that in 2006 (next year), Canada will have Satelite Radio.
