Was washing my car last night and came across some rough spots on the plastic body cladding. The spots were right behind each rear wheel and also along the bottom of the running boards. My therory is that road salt is to blame for this. It hasn't become an eye-sore yet but I can't buff it out being that it is textured plastic. Any ideas?
There is a TSB (technical service bulletin) from GM on this matter and many owners have had their cladding replaced under warranty. Use the search function in the top right corner of the page and you will find novels of threads on the subject.
