I remember seeing this on I think "Animal Planet" one time. That show gave me the willys. Those hornets are HUGE. I think they had a guy in protective clothing out near one of their nests, and a few came out to investigate his presence. they were like 3" long and about as big around as a roll of quarters.

I wonder how the Africanized Honey Bees would do against the hornets? Probably still have that problem of head and body seperation.

Ok, that vid just completely gave me the willies. I can't express how deeply I hate flying stinging insects. I squish 'em every chance I get, but it looks like I'd have to get out a shotgun to kill those nasty hornets! Bleeccchh! I hate those things. Bleeccchh!
