I know what my first mod project is going to be for my vibe gt. The silver trim (not the chrome) on the doors (with the window/lock controls) pops right out and can be easily separated from the controls, so in the next few weeks I am going to remove all of the silver trim and paint it red to go with the interior. I figure red is a good color because it matches the Pontiac emblem, gauge clusters and my radio tint. Any advice for painting the trim? I know I need a cleaner solvent, the paint, and the sealer to do this. I probably will put two or three coats to make it look professional. Anyone know of some good paint out there for the plastic? Advice appreciated.
woah, that's an old thread I can happily report that my painted interior has held up FLAWLESSLY for nearly 1 1/2 years. I still want to re-do it, but have yet to get around to it.Good luck on your project!
I like Tritons snap on kit, but the acculaser site is weird in that it says it costs $334, Triton said 160, which sounds reasonable, but 334 is too much for me. I didn't see the solid colors on the site that triton has. They were all wood or carbon fiber. I wonder if any of those vinyl kits on Ebay are any good. My spare time is scarce so I dunno if I want to sand and paint and sand and paint too many times. Anyone try those vinyl kits or find a acculaser type snap on kit anywhere?
