speaker size

Post by Tink »

Hey there! A question out to all you vibe owners...what size speakers (rear and front) are in the vibe? I was wondering if my aftermarket speakers I have in my current car would fit in my new car? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Have you done anything else with your sound system yet? I didn't order the moons and tunes package because I am planning on replacing the radio eventually...but I haven't decided on anything yet. I have to learn how to drive stick better first!

I wish Ponbtiac had put bigger speakers ports in the rear...should be 6.5 all the way around.

Ok-I just need a clarification-on here I read that 6.5" speakers will fit in the front doors but on the Crutchfield site it says no (except he component ones) and does not offer any adapter or install instructions for them. I am looking to replace my front speakers with coaxials so does this mean that I am stuck using the 5 1/4" (which I presume they provide adapter rings for).. I realize that when you tear the stock speaker out it leaves a 6 1/2" holeso is crutchfield saying that the 6 1/2 " coaxials are too deep (since they say a 6 1/2 compontent unit will fit).? Any info on this would be appreciated.
