IPod for the Vibe

Post by sicknic »

I was thinking about getting an Ipod and hooking it up to my stereo in my vibe gt. I have the 6 cd in dash stereo, and it does have an Aux hook up. Does anyone know of any products i could get to hook it up? I also want to get a mount that compliments the interior. I don't really care if I have to use the controls on the ipod to select songs, or playlists. Any advice?

There was a thread in one of the forums on it, where the guy spliced a set of jacks directly to the stereo. The two that I know of are a fm transmitter, or inline plug-in box.

As far as I know, the Aux buttons on the Vibe head units serve no real purpose because there is no Aux input...I have a JVC FM Transmitter I got from Crutchfield for $35 and it works great. There's a thread called "Kari's iPod Setup" in the Audio forum with more info about it and some pics. The iPod is the best thing I *ever* bought...trust me, if you love music and have a lot of it, you'll love the iPod.
