Pontiac Vibe -VS- Mazda 3 (5-door)

First time I glimpsed the Mazda 3 5 door, I thought it was a Vibe. Wonder why? Mazda obviously liked what Pontiac was doing, since it looks more like a Vibe than a Matrix. I think I actually like how Mazda has improved upon the design, and the base engine is certainly nicer. The interiors are almost identical, with the three chrome-bezeled gauge cluster.~ Z600

With this post i know have 100...Now to the point....I have often had to double take the mazdas b/c they do look so much like the Vibe/Matrix.There are several under the skin differences though. big one is NO AWD option.

We drove a mazda3 to the pontiac dealership and parked them side by side when were trying to decide which to buy. The vibe has like twice the room the 3 does internally; it's also taller and wider. However, the 3 is far more fun to drive.The problem with the 3 and the other alternatives is that they are cars turned into wagons, the vibe was designed as a wagon. Toyota/pontiac didn't compromise when designing the car.

I think the Mazda in one way looks better. The only thing better I believe is that it is not as tall and gumpy looking as the Vibe is. Next to my friends civic, my Vibe looks like a bus (until I get the S-Techs of course ) The Mazda is flatter and more squished looking (which I like).I dont like anything else about the Mazda. The front end looks dumb and the same goes for the back.

I like the front end of the mazda 3, those headlights are cool. But I still think my Vibe is better..and I bet Mazda has more modifications...
