Powerslot rotors

Post by Merzbow »

I can get a pair of front Powerslot rotors at a local performance shop for $80-$90. I don't have enough or want to spend te money on the Brembos or AEM. I was just wondering, how come no one has gotten the powerslot rotors??? Ramchargers will order them for me for free with no shipping charge so I think I might get a set...any draw backs or problems with them I should know about? According to powerslot they just got right in and no adjustments need be made to the calipers or anything.

Anyone who is handy with wrenches and knows what they are doing can change rotors. It's like changing brakes with two additional steps.

Yeah...all you have to do is take off the wheel, then the 2 bolts that hold the caliper on, then the rotor should just slide off.I haven't seen the powerslot rotors, but I bet they work just as well as the bigger brands for less money unless you go autocrossing. But if you want the looks, then I bet they will be just fine.

When I painted my calipers I was checkin out the rotrs and it didn't look hard to change at all. I just thought it was weird because some of the people on the forum have almost every part availible for the Vibe except rotors...

Well, ptuning priced a pair of powerslot rotors for $90 when I was able to get a complete set (4) of cross-drilled/slotted BPI rotors for ~$100. I've had them since March w/o a problem, aside from the EBC Greenstuffs squeeking, but that happens with semi-metallic pads.PS Merz, I removed the grilles and will try to get them out this week

Hey Christian, I have question. If I was to switch over to all disk brakes, how hard would that be? I know that I would have to run new lines as well.Inder

I'm sure it would be cost effective only if you could source everything you needed from a wreck.

If anything else, you could allways order the hardcore slotted brake rotor aluminum simulations...they just slide onto your axel bolts and go infront of your brakes...they look real too minus the fact that THERE ARE NO CALIPERS!!!!!!!!! Oh, and they come in red, blue, and polished...

Ouch, sorry Merz! Of course, I've not been able to ship the grilles either, but I promise I'll have time this weekend I don't know what s/h will cost, but it shouldn't be too bad. Do you prefer USPS, FedEx, or UPS?
