Remove Utility bar

Anyone ever removed a utility bar (roof rack) from a 2004 Vibe? I unlocked each end piece and removed it but after that, I'm stumped.I have a bike rack attached to it but I'd rather just take both pieces off at the same time and store them until spring.thanks,K

Thanks Psycho but I actually meant the Utility bar which sits on top of the factory roof rack and allows you to mount a bike rack.I did a search and came up empty.Anyone?

My roof racks ( utility bars ) which attach to the factory installed racks mount on top of the existing factory ones.I just purchased them for my 2005 AWD Vibe from my dealer and the actually have locks at each end of both bars ( 4 locks ) and mount on top of the existing rack very easy....I put them on in about 10 minutes and could have them off in about the same.This is quite different from the ones that i see that mount inside the existing racks and slide between them in the groove.I had already purchased these from GM and now I see vibes all over with these racks that mount inside and slide between the existing racks.Looks quite different....maybe mine are an old set or something.I never even thought of it when I bought them...just gave them the info on the car and this is what if got.They actually have a rubber boot thing that clips on the rack at each end.....pull lock out and spin and it tightens on the existing rack.

Rodzombie removed his. And Pyschovibe's company made filler caps for after you remove entire roof rack.inder

Thanks Keto, that worked perfectly, I didn't realize that they screwed on like that.As for the cross bars that run in the grooves, my 2004 came with them as well and the dealer put the utility rack and bike rack on over top of them. Maybe they got rid of them for 2005?thanks again.
