Anyone know if GM will ever see it fit to make a 2 door Vibe GT? It gets tiring hearing all my friends say "You got a 4 door??" If they would, I'd trade my 4 door in on it in a heratbeat! Until then, I my 4 door.

I think they should avoid 2-door models...look WAY too much like focus...GM needs to keep differentiating itself from the other major brands...otherwise, people won't be interested anymore. I mean, for years, the various GM brands all looked identical...people couldn't tell one from another...though now they use the same bodies for different brands, they differentiate. Don't break it up now, it's finally getting GM somewhere.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Unless you haven't noticed, the 2 door focus is one of the best selling cars in America, which means GM isn't getting those sales. Producing a 2-door Vibe is a smart move, although a follow rather than lead strategy. GM could give a crap whether people are warm and fuzzy inside about their cars, they just want mass sales in a slumping economy. And guess what? The only cars selling well are cheap econo cars with decent space inside. I'm not really disagreeing with you, I like the 4-door much better as well, but its how the world works.

I'd like to see a Vibe 2-door with a 6' pickup bed behind the front seats. El-caminoish, ya know. An included topper could be designed to restore the look back to the Vibes original roof line. Keep or better yet increase the tie-down options of the cargo area. Stiffen up the rear to handle higher loads. Include a trailer hitch, and a power take-off. OK, photo-shop wizzes... While the focus may be the best seller, I heard it has the worst reliability and highest maintenance demands of any brand car. I'd like to think those consumer, if unsatisfied by the lack of reliability, would eventually go shopping somewhere else. But that aside, I have to say, people aren't gonna get a 2 door vibe cause it looks like ht efocus and is more reliable -- they're gonna buy a vibe cause they want a vibe, ya know? most won't get one to throw mud in the face of ford, though i'd love to see that happen.

quote:I'd probably bang my head everytime on that B pillar. No you wouldn't because the doors are longer but the seat is in the same position. The B-pillar is farther back and angled back instead of forward. Look where the B-pillar begins in relation to the roof rack:

If the B-pillar were straight up and down that would look like some sort of modified F-150. Strange how well the Vibe actually lends itself to a truck. I don't think I'd buy one though, not that GM would likely ever make it. Good work though Nova!
Hello, does anyone ever read my posts? Everyone is going on about how a 2-door Vibe would look like a Focus. The 4-door hatchback Focus was out before the Vibe. This one looks alot like my Lava GT!
