Supercharger + Unichip or CAI + CatBack + Unichip?

Post by BlueCrush »

I have a question for y'all! First off, I have a 2005 AWD Vibe.I already have a high flow muffler (Dynomax - Super Turbo). I am in the enviable position of getting either a Supercharger or a CAI + CatBack + Unichip. Knowing that the supercharger is not made for the AWD but it does work and would cost minimum $3000 for the complete setup. Do you think I would get that much more out of a supercharger ($3000) vs. CAI+CatBack+Unichip($1500). Basically, would it be worth the money? Thanks,Brian

I would recommend getting the S/C and upgrading the internals of your motor. You can find the parts at http://www.monkeywrenchracing.comInder

it's not the internals of the motor he would need to upgrade, it's the AWD system that can't handle the extra power. The engine is the same as the base model, so it would take the supercharger just fine.

If you have burlap bags of bucks, go for the supercharger. For a lot less loot and trouble but also less power, go for normal aspiration.

Well, I am going to pass on the supercharger idea and go for less power and more on the looks. I think I will be happier in the long run. Thanks for the input guys.Brian
