IMHO, a gimmick. I haven't seen it in action but I can guess what it does. It probably relocates your intake temp sensor outside the heated intake so it always receives 'cold air' signal to enrichen your fuel mixture so its good for warm up but not so good for warm cruise mode. All NA engines run max power and efficiency when A/F ratio is lean or around 13.5:1. This mod will probably cause your engine to temporary run richer but the ECU may adjust A/F ratio to target ratio in the ECU tables. LEAN IS MEAN!!!

no no no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont go near this, its just a resistor that you atach in line with your i.a.t. sensor that causes your engine to run always rich!!!! do not go near this, you will kill yout catalatic convertor!!!!! buy a k/n air filter and do it right!

I have heard of celica owners doing a similar mod. What it does it trick your ECU in to thinking the incoming air temp is much cooler than what it really is. Since cooler air is more dense than warmer air the ECU then has the fuel injectors spray more fuel into the engine resulting in more power. The problem here is that spraying more fuel into the engine when there isn't enough air coming in will cause the engine to run rich. This mod makes the air temp sensor send a false reading to the ECU. Your gas mileage would probably come down and your emmisions would go up. You might get 1 or 2 HP from this mod max. I doubt you'd even be able to feel a difference but anyone will to try this let us know how it goes.I don't think you'd do any damage to anything doing this mod but you wont get the claimed HP gain that is for sure.
