well it looks like my vibe was built Dec 16! (woohoo) That means I should be getting it some time in the next week or two. Two month ago GM gave me a build date of Dec 30. Anyone else find that there build date was way off? Makes sense I guess, no one gets pissed off if their car is built ahead of schedule.

The dealer tried to get my build date moved up to no avail. My date is still the week of Jan 6, and I ordered mine 3 days before you did (same dealer for those who don't know). I'll never understand GM, or how they schedule their production.Once you get it you have to let us know if it was worth the wait. I guess this means you will be able to take advantage of the Ring and Win promo (hope you get something over the $500/$1000 minimum). Cheers.
Base Vibe, auto, Neptune, power, alarm, 6 Cd with upgraded speakers, cargo mat, rear bumper protector, Stealth theft-deterent system. Ordered June 24 - delivery on January 24.
I was given a Dec. 30th build date also. The plant is shut down most of that entire week. Sounded like a bogus build date at the time. How did you find out that it had been built earlier? Maybe my VIBE has already been built too?Ya know, this may sound cinical, but I keep waiting for the dealer to try to screw me someway before this car actually arrives. I have a trade-in and there is an agreed to price on the deal. This trade-in car recently rolled over 100,000 km, so what's the chance these slime balls will want to 'renegotiate' the trade-in value? There has been at least 2 price increases on the VIBE since I ordered. More potential for conflict. If I qualify for the 'Ring in & Win' promo, I'm afraid they'll want to take away another perk from the deal too. If I sound paranoid, well, I am. The way GM Canada has treated VIBE buyers in Canada is embarassing and they are shameless. GM Canada should be absolutely ashamed of themselves (did I mention GM Canada sucks!?). While US dealers have a virtual glut of VIBES rusting on their lots, Canadians wait 6+ months for a damn car. No GM employee discounts, no incentives up until ring & win. Im bitter and will never forget this GM Canada. You suck.
Okay, I've got an answer and an update.1. the colour I ordered is Shadow. (base, 5spd, power, s&s, speaker upgrade)2. I just talked to my salesman (my info earlier was from a friend that works at the dealership). My vibe was shipped 3 weeks ago. That means it should arrive anytime in the next 2 weeks or so. I guess due to so many holidays the delivery could take a little bit longer than usual. (Hey frosty, I guess I missed the dreaded NY eve shifts too )I'll let you all know when it arrives.
