Maybe this is a request for a future enhancement to Zeroforum? One of the frustrations when you post a link to an existing thread is that all threads essentially look alike, except for the unique thread ID number at the end, unless the poster adds his/her comments to the link. There's no indication of which thread came from which forum (or what the topic was) until you actually visit the link. This posting of thread from cohocarl in the 'MAJOR forum gripe' thread(
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=13701) illustrates the problem.
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... d?id=824Is it possible to have the zeroforum software further subdivide
http://forums.genvibe.com into 'Forum Subdirectories' if that's the correct term?
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1153 would becomehttp://forums.genvibe.com/Handling,_Suspension,_&_Brakes/zerothread?id=1153http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=785 becomeshttp://forums.genvibe.com/Audio,_Electronics,_Electrical/zerothread?id=785and so on...I realize it would be a major, major time-intensive and thankless job to re-organize all the thousands of existing threads this way MANUALLY, but when you click on a link now, it shows the post thread IN THE APPROPRIATE forum, so it seems that the 'subdirectory' info is already being captured somewhere in the forum software, it just isn't being displayed.Of course the next question is, why not show the TITLE of the original post along with the forum name, too? Response time probably becomes an issue somewhere in this discussion. Thanks for listening, Nick. And thanks for the great job you and all the moderators do!
