Well, I'm pretty happy. Even with my mom b*tching at me about grades and ACTs and everything else she thinks I did bad in, I ended up getting accepted to Michigan Tech!!! I got a 25 on the ACTs and I gues they liked my performance in my high school engineering classes. I thought it was pretty good news Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to pay for it...My dad took my college money a while back, does anyone have any links to scholarships at MTU?
Hey, also, if you go to prom dressed with aluminum foil, like your tux is completely aluminum foil, and you have a picture from prom to prove it, that's seriously is a scholarship. It's on that site that I gave you.Inder

Contact the office of financial aid at the university as well as the engineering dept itself. They can both help you find scholarships, grants, etc. Apply early. The earlier, the better. Big money goes quick.
Congrabulations Merz! btw: Are you sure that's what you want? It's SUPER COLD in the winter.another aside: The casino on the canadian side is cool, maybe you could get a job there on the weekends.

??Canadian side??Congrats. It's a long drive up there- invest some money in a good set of winter tires. I visited a friend up there one time who told me before I came up that there was 5 ft of snow on the ground. I thought he was kidding. He wasn't kidding.

I have to second what desert had to say. If you have no other choice but to get student loans, keep a VERY close eye one them, I didn't and am paying for it today. Here is a web site to calculate what your payback would be if you do have to take loans. http://search2.amerifundloans....ncalc However, if it comes down to going to school on loans and not going at all, I'd take the loans and work on the scholarships while you are there. Not only that, but they won't let you borrow out the tush until you are a graduate student - that's when the debts rapidly accumulate!!!! Undergrads are kept under control for the most part.Again, congrats!!!!!
Just because you see Charlie doesn't mean I am a he....sometimes Charlie can be a she!!!!

One of my friends did that, and saved a crap load of money.
Isn't Central almost as much as MTU anyways? MTU I beleive calculated out to about $16000-$17000 for two semesters (including rooma nd board, food, random expenses, books and everything else)
