chew aura pizza cheat main"the world in my hands, there's noone left to hear you scream, noone's there for you"
...if you have an '03, as soon as u hit 6000 rpms the engine gets alot louder and your car will have tonnes on power..it just takes off !!!! ..if its a cold day your lift will not work untill the oil is at a good temperature
I own a 5 speed, not a GT/XRS VVTL-i model, but lift should kick in around 6000-6300 rpm's and the engine increases power dramatically. Consider it the Toyota version of Vtec (From Honda).Would you like to know what boost feels like?

When you hit 6,000 RPM's with your foot on the floor, It'll feel like a boast of power from a shot of NOS. It's much more noticeable in the lower gears.Don't you remeber Fenton, I hear people hitting lift every 5 mins.
I have heard of people having trouble with LIFT do to something in the engine wearing out or breaking, Maybe thats your Issue.Do a search and see if you can find anything on it. I thing the part was under the valve cover.Keeps us updated!
If your filter is on it's first use, that could be the problem. They come heavily oiled from the factory and can foul the MAS(air sensor). Mine did and they run just lean enough to not like lift. It's open loop in lift and it's not seeing the correct amount of air. The proximity of the drop in to the sensor doesn't help matters. The current lift bolts are more durable than the originals and it doesn't seem that you hit lift much anyway so it's very unlikely it's the problem at your mileage. There is a reason that GM considers oiled filters a reason to void warranties on intakes. You can clean your MAF with contact cleaner or carb cleaner spray. Let it dry and reset the ECU by pulling the EFI fuses. You can use the K&N again without issue as it's no longer going to lose oil. If you bring it to the dealer they will charge you for a new MAS + labor so this is worth a try but be careful. Temp, Oil pressure, and a bad ECU can also be issues. There is a screen filter in front of the lift bolt that will restrict lift if dirty but again it is very unlikely in your case.
