Question: On my '05 Vibe, the front windshield has a black patterning on the glass mainly behind the rearview mirror and along the passenger side edge (but *not at all* on the driver side edge). I assume this has to do with cutting down glare or reflections or some such. But I was wondering why the patterning is laid out in a non-symetrical way. Any of you folks know the reasoning?
i believe it has something to do with interference with the light sensor on the drivers side. the owners manual recommends against placing oil change stickers on the drivers side also.
