Buying a Vibe/GM in the Driveway Request

Post by cherkcom »

Hello folks!I've been reading this forum for about six months, and it has been an amazing resource. Thank you all for the information I gleaned.I fell in love with the Vibe earlier this year, and I'm finally getting ready to buy one this weekend. I've been waiting because of Pontiac's frustrating tactic of building only monotone '05s first. I really want a two-tone. I also want some specific options, so I'm going to factory order (or whatever you call it) my car. I'd love to know if anyone out there has a GM in the Driveway certificate they can spare, though since I am ordering my car, I don't know if I need it now or when the car actually arrives. (Which will be, what, two months from now?) How does that work? Thanks for any help!

Hi welcome to genvibe and congrats on your desision to purchase a vibe.I can get you a GM in the driveway certification, how it works is you give me your name, birth date, and last 4 digits of your SS#. I would then get you a certification # that you would give to the dealer. he will then give you a GMI price. you also can use all incentives with the GMI price. the price seems to vary usually around $2000 to 3000 depending on the vehicle.I just went to the GM web site and: I would talk to the dealer. since the GM in the driveway program is slated to end dec 31 2004. and who knows if GM will continue it or not, personally i think they will. I also heard at work today that GM is telling its dealer to have a RED TAG SALE to move inventory, up to $7000 off 2004's and big discounts and 0% financing on 2005's. I hope this answered your question.email me if you have any ?

IN THE NEWS"General Motors will launch a new round of US sales incentives on Friday (Dec 10th) to complement recently announced production cuts as a way of trimming bloated vehicle inventories. The latest promotion will feature a red tag on every vehicle showing the dealer's best price. It includes cut-rate lease deals and cash bonuses as high as $2,500 for vehicles financed through General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC). GM has also reinstated an offer of zero financing charges for up to six years on unsold 2004 models."Note: No specifics found. Will surely be limited to vehicles delivered by Jan 3rd so likely won't apply to custom orders.

SadroPlease send me the purchasers birthdate and last four digits of the SSN. I can get you the certificate. mgtomasek @ hotmail . com (I put spaces into the name so that it would not work with a direct copy.)

My wife is due for a new car and we are going with another GM. I have a SAAB right now, kind of a GM and her family is a GM family. She is deciding between a couple of models right now, Vibe or Malibu(which has the same chasis as the Saab). I was wondering if anyone had a spare GM in the Driveway certificate.Thank you

A few questions first:Is this still available? Can it be used in conjunction with a GM Card discount? Can it be used with the "Employee Pricing" Deal and if not is it better than "Employee Pricing" ?Thanks for your help! I can provide info via email if this is still available...tnippernippertw@hotmail.com

check out this thread Are there any available GM discounts on top of employee?Seems like the GM in the Driveway Discount is the same thing as the GM Employee pricing, which is now available to all without a special certificate

Thats the 1st time I'v seen someone distinctly look for that black plastic molding on their car. maybe now they'll sell more. here where i live they have all 2 tones and very rarely a monotone, the one i had was the only monotone that my dealer got in 04 other than a black gt.
