Driving The New Ferrari F430

Post by POLO »

Maranello's new 490-horsepower, V8-powered F430 becomes the least expensive Ferrari, but it might just also be the most desirable. Overall rating: 9.5 / 10Pros- Race-car performance with road-car accessibility- Stunning presence- A brand name that means never having to say you're sorryCons- Rear visibility- Exhaust note not as Ferrari-like as you might expect- Limited practicality http://en.autos.sympatico.msn....tlead

Limited practicality? Gee, who would have thought?

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Ferrari has never made a practical car. That is why they are so much fun.

Dang it Ferrari.....I really never wanted a Ferrari (especially after 1991 when Car and Driver pitted a GMC Syclone against a 348GT, and the Ferrari lost in the 1/4). Even the F40 and F50 didn't do it for me......but then they came out with the F355, and I said....."man..that is a pretty car." Plus, it had the 40 valve V8, a redline of 8500RPM, and plenty of panache. THEN, they came out with the F360, and my jaw hit the floor when I saw it in black. I then said "Self, you are going to have to get one of those." And now, they come up with the F430, about the most gorgeous car I have ever seen, and just when I had almost saved enough..........http://www.roadandtrack.com/ar...=1676

I have always liked Ferrari's... Drove a White/White Mondial on a regular basis when I was a Valet. Lambos on the other hand were not all they are cracked up to be. A mass production Corvette was built better then a 300K Lambo hand built pile of crap! What does this Ferrari cost?

I have the pleasure of driving an 308 gt ferrari anytime I want and let me tell you, there isn't much to compare a ferrari too.
